Week 7: Lighting and rendering
Lighting
This week our team start lighting the scene and keep refining our textures. I’m not very good at this part, so I’m learning more from the group members and helping out when they need it.


Guanze did the first version of lighting. In the later tests, we also found some problems that we had never encountered before. As this was the first time we had used aitoon, after using the first version of the light, we found the weird noise in the image, no matter how we modified the parameters. Finally, we found out that Skydome and Light Portal are not compatible with aitoon. So we deleted them.
Rendering

We found a lot of bugs in our rendering tests this week, for example, the improper use of referencing project and the file transfer between different Maya versions also has a lot of questions, so we spent a lot of time finding and fixing them.
